Give the way your community already gives.

Most masjid giving happens in person on Friday, then spikes online in Ramadan. OpenFundraise covers both with one set of funds, one donor record, and one dashboard.

A giving station by the door

A freestanding touchscreen where worshippers tap a card or phone after Jummah. They pick the fund and amount in a few seconds, and the gift lands in the same dashboard as online giving.

Zakat, Sadaqah, and every fund

Give each fund its own designation so Zakat stays separate from operating costs, the building fund, or orphan sponsorship, from checkout through reporting.

Daily giving through Ramadan

Donors set a daily gift that runs through the last ten nights and stops on its own. They can pause or cancel any time from their donor portal.

Iftar dinners and Eid programs

Publish an event page with registration and a donation option, then see who came and who gave in one place.

Building fund pledges

Record pledges, collect monthly installments, and see what is still outstanding for an expansion or a new prayer hall.

Text and QR appeals

Send a tracked SMS appeal before Jummah or put a QR code on the khutbah slide, then see exactly which message brought in which gifts.

Case study

Islamic Center of Rowlett put giving in one place. Then the kiosks went in.

ICR moved online giving and donor records to OpenFundraise, started Jumu'ah emails, and put TV giving kiosks in the masjid. Gifts now come in every day of the week, not just Friday.

Pricing

Online giving is free. Only the giving station has a fee.

Like Zeffy, we charge your masjid nothing for online donations. The in-person giving station carries a small fee that donors cover with one tap, so the full gift still reaches the masjid.

Funding beyond the collection box.

Two sources many masjids leave on the table.

FEMA Nonprofit Security Grant Program

Federal funding for security upgrades at houses of worship, such as cameras, access control, and lighting. Recent cycles have awarded up to $200,000 per site. Applications go through your state administrative agency, which often sets an earlier deadline than FEMA.

Employer matching gifts

Many of your donors work for companies that match charitable gifts. OpenFundraise asks for the employer at checkout and follows up, and our free directory shows which companies match and how to apply.

Questions from masjid boards

Is OpenFundraise free for masjids?

Online giving is free. There is no platform fee and no processing fee, so your masjid receives 100% of every online donation. Donors can add an optional tip at checkout, which is how OpenFundraise is funded. There are no monthly fees, contracts, or setup costs.

What if an online donor skips the optional tip?

Your masjid still receives 100% of the gift. The tip is optional and never comes out of the donation.

Can we keep Zakat separate from general donations?

Yes. Each fund, such as Zakat, Zakat al-Fitr, Sadaqah, masjid operations, or the building fund, is its own designation. Donors choose it at checkout and every report keeps the funds apart.

How does the Jummah giving station work?

It is a freestanding touchscreen with a card reader that sits near the entrance or musalla. Worshippers choose the fund, tap to give, and can get a receipt. Station gifts carry a 2% fee plus card processing, and "Cover fees so 100% goes to the masjid" is checked by default. Zakat fees are always added on top. There is no hardware, setup, or monthly cost.

Where does the money go?

Gifts are processed through your masjid's own connected Stripe account, or PayPal through our approved partner integration, and paid out directly to your bank account.

Do we need to rebuild our website?

No. Use a hosted donation page, embed a form on the site you already have, or add donate buttons anywhere. Most masjids are live the same day.

Be ready before Ramadan.

We will set up your funds, donation page, and giving station with you, so your first Jummah on OpenFundraise just works.
